Meet Steve

My father was the world’s worst photographer. He took no end of nagging from my mother over blurred vacation images, family portraits with missing heads and, of course, never showing her ‘best side’. At my twelfth birthday party he gave up in frustration and handed me his camera. “Happy Birthday, you’re now the official family photographer.” It was an appointment that turned into a serious hobby, a lifelong passion and a career.

Out of college I began working in public education as a teacher and administrator, but during those ten years, I worked nights and weekends shooting community events, weddings, mitzvahs, even dog portraiture. Once I committed to make photography my life’s work, I was offered assignments shooting for profit and nonprofit corporations throughout the United States including several advertising and publishing companies. My work has appeared in numerous magazines and award winning photography books. In the process I have developed a unique, technically sound style that consistently translates into imagery my clients can be proud of.

Light is everything.
